I had the pleasure of being a guest at Uptown Fashion Week‘s First Plus Size Showcase at Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course. As a fashionable plus size girl I loved and would totally wear 90% of the garments that graced the runway. The 3 indie designers were faboulous and their collections ranged from sophisticated glam to urban chic.
BGU (Big Girls United) was founded by 2 fashionable sisters, Jeannie Ferguson & Tasha Hill. BGU prides itself on providing trendy, contemporary, and ready to wear clothes for the stylish curvy fashionista who likes to keep up with the ever changing styles in the world of fashion. Check them out at www.biggirlsunited.com.
Serita Bell by Cassandra Smith is bold, edgy, and sexy with amazing feminine silhouettes. Check them out at www.serita-bell.com.
Rue 114 is one of my favorite designers to see on the runway. Their fashion line specializes in modern, African inspired silhouettes that look awesome on curves. Check them out at www.rue114.com.
