The month-long celebration now kicks-off its second phase as McDonald’s invites guests to visit the McDNYTriState website where they can download top-10 tunes lists of Celia’s music, and share their selections through Twitter and Facebook. A high-octane music show in partnership with La Mega 97.9 Radio and AT&T took place as the culminating event of this month-long Hispanic cultural celebration. “McDonald’s is delighted to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with ‘Celebrando Nuestras Leyendas,’ a program that pays tribute to Latino music and culture which this year honors pop icon Celia Cruz,” stated Jessica Meléndez, McDonald’s Regional Marketing Manager for the New York Metro Region. “To bring this celebration of Celia’s tremendous talent to life, we have partnered with La Mega 97.9 and AT&T to bring to our customers a free music event that remembers and honors La Reina de la Salsa’s musical legacy,” added Meléndez.

She broke language barriers and was admired and remembered by music lovers across many nationalities and cultures. This music show is a well-deserved celebration of her legacy,” added Vega.
