The Hispanic Heritage Foundation announced their Honorees for the September 18th, 2014 Hispanic Heritage Awards ceremony at the Warner Theatre in Washington D.C. Target will take its place as presenting sponsor for the second year running.
The importance of this ceremony reflects the growing influence and the sense that Hispanics will be the key to the future endeavours of the United States. Jose Antonio Tijerino, President and CEO of the HFF says as much.
“The Hispanic community has made significant contributions throughout history, and we are proud to recognize that impact. Beyond celebrating our past success, we are focused on the future.
Now more than ever, Latinos will play a vital role in moving America forward.”
PBS will be broadcasting the Awards for the first time as a one-hour special to be viewed nationally on September 29 at 10 p.m. Listed below are this year’s honorees.
