Columbian-American actress Alexa Vega, most famously known for her role as Carmen Cortez in the hit film franchise “Spy Kids”, will be voicing one of the character’s for upcoming FX animated comedy series, “Unsupervised”.
The comedy follows best friends Gary and Joel’s journey through their teen years and the trials they must overcome with as little parental guidance as possible. Vega will be joining fellow actors Justin Long, Kristen Bell, Fred Armisen, Romany Malco, and Kaitlin Olson for the show.
The actress has kept busy in 2011. She recently starred in Andy Garcia’s “From Prada to Nada” alongside Camilla Belle, and wrapped up filming for “Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World” which was released in May. She married producer Sean Covel back in October 2010.
The comedy is the star’s first animated series. “Unsupervised” is set to premiere on January 19 at 10:30 ET/PT.
