Juanes Planning a Musical Crossover
Juanes says he’s ready to take his career to the next level and crossover into the Anglo market. Due to the successful album Tr3s Presents: Juanes Unplugged Juanes plans to test the market by debuting music in the form of singles every three months. He stated “Ya he hecho grabaciones en inglés y portugués, pero ahora la intención es un poquito romper con las barreras, ya me siento más cómodo con el inglés”, says the Colombian rocker. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he reaches much success in the Anglo market.
Residente of Calle 13’s Uncle Murdered
According to reports, the Calle 13 frontman’s uncle was murdered Thursday night in Puerto Rico. The singer stated on Twitter “I join with my family in the great loss of our dear uncle Tito. He was the victim of the crime wave that exists in Puerto Rico.” Roberto Joglar Rios (aka “Tito”) was 49-years-old and shot outside of a school in San Juan. No gunman has been identified, but the city’s Homicide Division is actively investigating the case.
Diddy to Judge on American Idol
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ name has been thrown into the mix for the next American Idol judge. According to E! News, producers for the singing competition show reached out to Diddy to see if he had any interest in sharing the judges’ panel with Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson. Diddy is worth $550 million dollars and Fox may not be able to pay what Diddy is worth.
