Obama Zombies: How The Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation
by: Lulaine Compere
Obama Zombies is a critique on the 2008 Obama campaign and the young people who in Jason Mattera’s words are Obama Zombies because of the blind way they supported Barack Obama at the time. Jason Mattera also takes on President Obama’s policies and makes a case for conservatives to rally and get the youth vote before they are lost forever. Even the cover of the book which spoofs the famous Barack Obama campaign poster, by replacing his picture with zombies. Mattera uses humor and with while pointing through the many methods and tactics the Obama campaign used to attract the youth vote and win the election. The book is mostly aimed at the young reader who may have become disappointed with President Obama since then and the conservative who is dumbfounded by how his 2008 campaign won the office. One of the points Mattera makes is by saying young Americans attracted to Obama by his style and empty headed rhetoric of hope, change, and Yes “We Can” have become Obama zombies. Mattera also goes after conservatives somewhat with a call to action for attracting the youth vote before a long lasting coalition the Obama campaign is formed for good. If you want a book that uses documents, and personnel who have worked for the Obama campaign to show how they actually seized the youth vote Obama Zombies is the book for you. If you want a well written critique on youthful naivety and how the 2008 Obama campaign may have used that to their advantage then Obama Zombies should be on your coffee table.
