Possessing a stunningly expressive five-and-a-half octave vocal range, ABIAH is a soul-jazz balladeer in the tradition of Luther Vandross, Nat King Cole, and Sarah Vaughn. His recently released sophomore album, Life As A Ballad, which boasts contributions by his cousin, Grammy-winning jazz pianist Robert Glasper, features nine original songs. Their elegant piano-driven arrangements provide the perfect showcase for his soaring, achingly emotional voice.
