Jamie Alvarado, an American citizen of Salt Lake City, told police he was an illegal immigrant to get out of jail for possession and the intent to sell cocaine and heroine, back in 2010, in which he was to serve a 15-year sentence. He said his name was Saul Quiroz that emigrated from Mexico illegally. Instead of being locked up, he was deported, only to return with his U.S. passport, under his real name. Earlier this year, he was arrested in Salt Lake City for an outstanding warrant that was connected to his guilty plea.
Alvarado stated to the Utah court that he regretted lying about his identity. “I just want to spend the rest of my life with my kids!” Alvarado told the judge. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that Alvarado was a legal citizen and he was released in June of this year. A warrant of $50,000 was issued on Monday, Oct 31st, for his arrest. He currently has no lawyer and has no phone number to be found.
