Down in Argentina, Sept. 24th is El Día del Novio (Boyfriend’s Day). So, what happens? Some restaurants are filled with couples on dinner dates. Funny how this AXE commercial below promoted that being on your dinner date with your novia is boring and hanging out in the restroom-turned strip joint is fun. AXE doesn’t want these men to “castrate*” themselves by having only their girlfriends enjoying the body spray but to share it with the strippers that mysteriously got into the restroom. Of course, each woman will never know what was really going on for the 20 minutes that they were staring at their plates and empty chair across from them. Upon the men’s return, they tell their unsuspecting girls that the restroom was a mess… Really, now? Watch for yourself.
*Note: in Argentina, to “castrate” oneself is to only do what the wife/girlfriend says. The American equivalent would be “whipped”.
