The summer months are prime vacation time for family to get out of the house and get away from everyday life. But where do you commonly vacation? Is it the Tropical Islands, Disney World, another state, Canada or Europe? While these places may be fun and adventurous for many, instead of vacationing there this year, visit here. The following places may be a little stretch to your family’s spontaneous side to travel a great distance, though before the list is revealed, here a few tips for booking a trip, getting an itinerary together and packing up for your vacation to ease your mind of taking on such a huge trip ahead of you.
Booking
Getting a travel agent for larger trips to another island or country is the best route to go because they can make you a “package” and fill up your time while on vacation. Of course there would be booking fees, but knowing that an expert can get you a hotel, flight, and if needed renting a car all in one lump sum, may be easier to swallow than looking everything up on your own. They may also even find some hidden deals or freebies along the way.
Itinerary
To do lists are not everyone’s best friend and yes there may be some family members that are spontaneous and can plan their trip or day without a list. But the truth is having an itinerary will keep everyone in check and get to all the sites possible. Mix up what each family member wants to do instead of having just one day of the parents or one day of just the kids; in the end both parties will get run down too easily and then no one may have a good time.
Packing
So are you the “last minute” person to pack or do you take a whole week to pack and head out somewhere? Either way, give yourself plenty of time to get all the essential items you may need, like clothes, magazines, accessories, anything you need for how long you will be staying at your destination. For trips lasting longer than three days, divide up all of things that you need among everyone’s suitcase so that just in case on bag gets lost for some reason, there will be clothes for everyone in another bag.
Now that the tips are revealed and there is a sense of relief, now the question becomes “where should the family vacation this year?” Instead of those familiar places that everyone loves, visit places in the list for a refreshing vacation that your family will sure to enjoy.

The truth is being that there are so many more places to visit and see in the world more than the ones listed above. Though if finances or other personal things hinder your way of going now, give your family a goal about getting to your dream destination. Take your time planning and researching any trip you take. Consult other colleagues to see what they have done in the past to get to their dream vacation. Whatever it takes, never limit yourself to where you want to go in life, embrace it and know that if you put your mind to it, you can make it to that dream vacation or anywhere in life.
