Gabriel Iglesias is one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians performing to sold-out concerts around the world. Iglesias was featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 40 Comedy Players of 2018 issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels. Unlike many in the stand-up world, Iglesias’ globally appealing comedy stays mostly clean and his non-controversial material appeals to audiences of all ages and walks of life. Iglesias has also had the distinct honor of being one of the few to headline and sell-out Madison Square Garden, Staples Center and The Sydney Opera House. He is also one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with over 370,000,000 views and has over 14 million followers across social media.
Today the 45 year-old comedian affectionately known as “Fluffy” has built a huge fan base, becoming the first comedian to score back-to-back sellout concerts at the venue, which holds more than 45,000 people. Gabriel joins an impressive list of global talent which have performed at baseball stadium, such as: Michal Jackson, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Guns N’ Roses, Beyoncé, Rolling Stones and Taylor Swift.
One of the reasons to his nickname “Fluffy” is because he weighed 445 pounds, but Iglesias decided to lose some weight, after his doctor told him that if he keeps living the way he was, he might only live for another two years, so I got series and began a weight loss routine that has helped him loss 70 pounds to date.
By the time he hit his 20s, he could no longer resist the stand-up life, and, by 2000, he was performing sketch comedy alongside Nick Cannon and Kenan Thompson on Nickelodeon’s All That. The three comic actors all went on to bigger and better things. Iglesias crossed the road to get to the other side and found stand-up success.
Gabriel’s film credits include co-starring roles in Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL and A Haunted House 2. His voice can also be heard in numerous animated films including the Academy Award winning Coco, Show Dogs, Ferdinand, The Star, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Norm of the North, The Book of Life, The Nut Job and Disney’s Planes. Iglesias also starred in the motion picture comedy film, The Fluffy Movie. He also stared and executive produced the Netflix series Mr. Iglesias.
