Nike has just unveiled its latest collection, “Con Mi Familia” (With My Family), in celebration of Día de Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead. This collection pays tribute to the enduring connections between family members, transcending the boundaries between the living and the departed. It consists of four remarkable footwear designs: the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2, Dunk Low, Air Max 1, and Blazer Mid. The release of these kicks started on October 18 for Nike Members in Mexico, followed by a global release scheduled for October 21 through Nike SNKRS and select retailers.

As the holiday season approaches, Nike is all set to mark various cultural celebrations with thematic sneakers. Among these, the Mexican Día de Muertos stands out for 2023, and Nike has crafted a striking “Día de Muertos” collection. This collection follows the “Somos Familia” offering from the previous year and reimagines the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2, Dunk Low, Air Max 1, and Blazer Mid through the lens of the Day of the Dead.
The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 is a striking blend of black and gold, adorned with intricate flower patterns and skull motifs on the lateral heel and sockliner. Moving to the Dunk Low, the marigold flower takes center stage, with embroidery and a textured upper combining black and gold accents.

The Air Max 1 embraces vibrant pink on the upper, complemented by thematic embroidery throughout the sneaker. Meanwhile, the Blazer Mid offers a more understated design with golden crescent embroidery on the heel and a blend of white, gold, and black detailing.

At the time of writing, Nike has disclosed release details for the Nike Dunk Low and Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 colorways, with a release date set for October 21 on the SNKRS app. The Dunk Low is priced at $125 USD, while the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 is priced at $165 USD. Stay tuned for updates on the release dates of the Air Max 1 and Blazer Mid, as they are expected to join the collection later this month.
