
The 2012 London Olympics are still going on, and as of today, Brazil is in the lead of all the Latin American countries.
As of this writing, Brazil has two (2) gold medals, one (1) silver medal, and seven (7) bronze medals, for a grand total of ten (10) medals.
Today, Luiz Alberto de Araujo will be competing in the men’s decathalon. On the women’s side, Poliana Okimono will be competing with in the swimming category — specifically, in the women’s 10K marathon.
Meanwhile, Colombia has brought home five (5) medals. Though they haven’t brought home any gold, they do have three (3) silver & two (2) bronze medals — tying them with Mexico, who also have three (3) silver and two (2) bronze medals to their credit.
Rounding out the Latin American countries is the Dominican Republic, who has two (2) medals in total — one (1) gold and one (1) silver.
