This past year has been a tough one for Prison Break star, Amaury Nolasco as he dealt with the tragic loss of his younger sister Deborah this past July. In an interview with Latina.Com, he voiced his heartaches.
“It’s been a rough year,” Nolasco said. “We lost my sister a couple of months ago, so it’s been hard. She was the love of my life. She was my light.”
Nolasco’s sister had a history of heart problems throughout her life as the 33-year old had died from a heart attack. The 39-year old Boricua actor was been mourning the loss of his sister the past few months, all while he’s been prepping for his new NBC drama premiering Monday, entitled Chase.
“You know how when people lose their grandma or grandpa, people they say they’re sorry? They do mean it, but…there’s nothing to say. There’s a void that cannot be filled. The pain is never going to go away. Every so often you’ll hear a song that reminds you of that person.”
Nolasco also was very adamant in regards to the importance of telling someone you love them. “If you have a brother or sister, tell them you love them everyday—that’s the most beautiful thing. I told my sister how much I loved her everyday. That’s the only reason I’m OK right now. Even if you have an argument about something stupid, it should always end with, ‘I’m pissed at you right now, but I love you.’ That’s the way to do it.”
