Anuel AA, the Puerto Rican global star has released his new song, McGregor. A song that takes him back to his trap roots and also serves to highlight his passion for mixed martial arts and his admiration for the UFC fighter Connor McGregor, it is produced under Anuel’s Real Hasta La Muerte label.
Anuel AA’s has a good relationship with the UFC organization, his record label Real Hasta La Muerte supports that sport and have partnered on some UFC events.
The topic of the song McGregor is inspired by the life and personality of Connor McGregor, in the video Anuel appears as a fighter training in a rough looking gym and then appearing against an opponent in the octagon. In between these scene of Anuel, we see actual real life footage of McGregor fighting in the octagon and being himself… a badass that doesn’t give a shit.
You can also hear some of his classic interview soundbites that shows the athletes persona. Anuel manages to personify the champion in this video, making an analogy between the life of the athlete and his successes in the world of music.
The video, which shows fragments and recreates three of the most important fights in Connor McGregor’s career, was recorded in the Dominican Republic and is directed by the filmmaker Fernando Lugo.
