Eva Longoria is having quite the New Year. The Desperate Housewife star is just getting out of divorce with basketball star, Tony Parker but before she can officially put the legal system behind her she may have to head right back in since she’s being sued. In the filed lawsuit, an investor, Mali Nachum, is suing Longoria after claiming that an interest agreement on the loan violates California Law and is demanding that Longoria return an estimated $4.6 million that she’s earned from the Beso restaurant and club the plaintiff has invested in, the amount also includes some legal fees.
In a response to the lawsuit, Longoria’s rep calls the action a “desperate reaction in a lawsuit without merit by prior partners who, through their unauthorized and fraudulent actions, required Eva Longoria to seek reorganization protection through bankruptcy court,” claiming the star is being used as a scapegoat for Nachum who has just recently filed for Chapter 11 just last week. Shouldn’t be too bad for Longoria, she seems to be doing nicely in the court system due to her divorce going amicably.
