The Hispanic Seafair Organization will host a special evening that includes dinner, a fashion show and silent auction to raise funds for its Miss Hispanic Seafair Scholarship Program, which provides collegiate scholarships, to the elected Miss Hispanic Seafair and her court, depending on funds raised. Sponsored by LaBelleRêve Bridal, La Isla Restaurant and Univision Seattle KUNS-TV, which will also record the evening for a 30 minute special about the program.
The Miss Hispanic Seafair Scholarship Program Fundraising Dinner will be held Saturday, March 26 at Fisher Plaza Studio, located at 140 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98109. Doors open and silent auction begins at 5:00 p.m. and program begins at 7:00 p.m.
This evening is open to the public and tickets are $50.00 and available at http://hispanicseafair.eventbrite.com/. All funds raised from ticket sales will be added to the scholarship fund.
Special guests include: Michelle Font, Miss Washington USA 2008, Faviola Viveros, Miss Hispanic Seafair 2009-2010, Rachel Serna, Miss Hispanic Seafair Runner Up 2010 and Ana Parada, Miss Hispanic Seafair Second Runner Up 2010, as well as Univision News personalities. Players from the Seattle Sounders and Seattle Mariners, Community Leaders, Miss Washington USA 2011, Miss Washington Teen USA 2011, and other local celebrities have also been invited to support this good cause.
The Miss Hispanic Seafair candidates will be introduced through a fashion show dressed by Bellevue’s LaBelleRêve Bridal boutique and entertainment will be provided by Rueda de Casino Salsa Group and special guest. Silent auction will include items donated by the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Sounders FC, Divine Brilliance and DVM Photography, among others.
About Hispanic Seafair Organization
The Hispanic Seafair Organization (HSO) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the advancement and education of Hispanic women and representing the Hispanic community during Seattle’s Seafair celebration and throughout the year.
HSO provides college scholarships to qualifying young women, and has celebrated Seafair the Latin way at the annual Hispanic Seafair Festival at Seward Park, since 1980. This year’s festival will be held July 31, 2011 at the Seattle Center. It is a free event, which includes a full day of Latin music, dance, and arts and crafts, and an opportunity to sample diverse regional cuisines.
