The Miami Herald reports that First Lady Michelle Obama will be a guest on the Spanish-language variety show Sabado Gigante this Saturday. She will be promoting her “Let’s Move!” initiative, speaking directly to Hispanic children about the importance of eating right and maintaining a balanced nutritious diet.
Sabado Gigante is hosted by Don Francisco and filmed in South Florida. Mrs. Obama will appear during the popular kids’ segment, “Conversando con los Niños.” She will invite the kids to join their family members in the kitchen to cook together and prepare healthy meals.
On the “Let’s Move!” website the First Lady states, “In the end, as First Lady, this isn’t just a policy issue for me. This is a passion. This is my mission. I am determined to work with folks across this country to change the way a generation of kids thinks about food and nutrition.”
