Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony want to buy a luxury property in Puerto Rico, where they’re both from. However, local residents aren’t completely thrilled with the prospect of having the stars as neighbors because they fear overdeveloping on the island.
The couple’s decision to buy at the location has sparked outrage as local residents are said to be concerned about overbuilding on the coast line, its location so close to the 17th century San Geronimo fort and the sale of public land to private developers.
However, the couple’s rep won’t confirm or deny that they’re actually buying a place so nothing is sure yet.
Marc and Jennifer have previously said they want to turn Puerto Rico into the “Hollywood of the Caribbean.”
