Chris Medina moved us last month, and not because of his soulful “Breakeven” by The Script during American Idol’s auditions in Milwaukee. He told everyone his fiancé’, Juliana, was in a car accident in October 2009. She survived, although, it left her “nearly paralyzed, with traumatic brain injuries, as well as skull and several facial fractures”, USA Today reported. Judges Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and Jennifer Lopez gave Medina the YES to move onto Hollywood, and then met the love of his life. Unfortunately, his plight wouldn’t get him very far. Medina was cut from the Top 24 (contestants) last night. It appears as though Lopez, one of the new judges for season 10, took the news harder than Medina. After he left the stage, Tyler and Jackson had to hold her hand and comfort (cue the world’s smallest violin) as she cried.
