Will someone please break the news to J-Lo that it’s not 2000 anymore, and she’s no longer in the position to act like a bruja?
Jennifer Lopez is out of the running to join the hit television program as a judge after her diva act wore thin on Fox executives, People magazine reported Wednesday.
“Her demands got out of hand,” a source told People about Jenny from the Block. “Fox had just had enough.”
Singer-actress Lopez was close to an agreement to join the ever-popular program, which lost judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres after its ninth season.
The 41-year-old Lopez and Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler emerged as front-runners for the spots until the Latina superstar was bumped.
Fox officials have refused to say who was coming aboard the show, or even if incumbent judges Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi are returning.
They did say there’s a mid-September target to fill out the panel, whether it stays at three or four.
