According to the actress, the Jessica Alba we all see upon the pages of various magazines and on the big screen is in fact a persona the media has created. The glamorization is simply not who she is. Trying to explain what she means, the Fantastic Four and Machete star accredits her growing up in a Catholic household has left her with lots of guilt that she, “can’t seem to shake away,” and has helped her keep the “simple girl from the suburbs,” untouched by the influential world of showbiz.
The 29-year-old Mexican actress is not at all ashamed of her Catholic upbringing claiming, “I’m proud of my heritage,” and the lack of exposure on her true self is attributed to the fact that, “a lot of the time, the magazines don’t show that side of me.” Well, Ms. Alba it’s good to know you’re still the simple Latina girl then. The star can currently be seen in Little Fockers out in theatres now and is currently filming Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World with former Machete cast-mate Danny Trejo & director Robert Rodriguez due out later this year.
