Jessica Alba will soon be launching a website for the green moms out there called “The Honest Company”.
The site helps mothers aiming to be eco-friendly find baby products in one single location. The actress started the company after having difficulty finding such things for her first child, Honor. She said, “…I started doing research online about how to have a safe home. I was completely shocked by how many dangerous chemicals were in so many products that I used.” According to the star, after successfully creating a safe environment for her family for a pricey cost, she wanted to open such a possibility for families who don’t have the economic means to do so.
The actress’ environmental activism will even branch to her own Christmas shopping. The star stated, “I have a few eco-friendly websites that I like to check out for all of my Christmas presents…I’m looking on there right now.” Looks like Honor and Haven may be getting green gifts!
“The Honest Company” is set to launch in January 2012.
