John Leguizamo has landed a new TV comedy show with ABC just days after it passed on the pilot Kings of Van Nuys, which had starred Leguizamo. The show will be based on the actor’s life as a husband, father and fish out of water on the upper West Side of New York. Leguizamo finds himself juggling his privileged lifestyle, spoiled children, and his friends reminding him of his life back in the Bronx. Keeping him grounded and in touch with his Latin roots are Leguizamo’s mother and grandfather. Leguizamo will co-write the show, which will be co-produced by former “Family Guy” executive producer Chris Sheridan. The show, along with its title, is still a work in progress. Sounds like a winning formula to me!
