Colombian rocker Juanes will be publishing a book of his memoirs titled “Chasing the Sun”. The publication will also be available in Spanish under the title “Persiguiendo El Sol”.
The star is working with the Penguin Group to create the book in which he will reveal all of his experiences and memories in. He stated, “This book is an expression of pure friendship and a very sincere way of saying thanks to all those who have supported my music throughout all these years.”
Despite the number of duties the multi-talented singer has on his plate, including activist, singer, and composer, Juanes saw it fit to give his fans a glimpse into his persona behind all his celebrity. He further stated, “My job isn’t to write books, nor much less…but I felt that if I really did this it would be so [the public] would know who I really am.”
Sharing such private information would be a great help to the singer’s fans. The star has managed to steer clear of tabloid gossip throughout the years and maintain his life away from the public eye.
The first book will include many personal unedited photographs. It will also include many intimate details of Juanes’ public and personal life, how he began his career as a soloist, his rise to fame, and the price of becoming an international name. The publication will further delve into the hardships the star experienced as a child growing up in Colombia.
“Chasing the Sun” will be released on April 2.
