
Edgy fashion and beauty images by emerging celebrity and fashion photographer Al Rodriguez are featured on the set of the HBO series How to Make It in America.
Now in its second season, How to Make It in America is an HBO comedy-drama series that follows the lives of Ben Epstein (Bryan Greenberg) and his friend Cam Calderon (Victor Rasuk) as they try to succeed in New York City’s fashion scene.
Mr. Rodriguez’s images were chosen for the HBO show by production designer Kelly McGehee. In all, 18 of his photographs were chosen to be placed in the “Lulu D Boutique” set on the show. The Lulu D Boutique is fictional shop on located at 164 Ludlow Street on New York City’s Lower East Side. The shop was solely created for the show.
Mr. Rodriguez, a New York native and second-generation Puerto Rican, commented: “I am very excited about having my photography featured on How to Make It in America, which is about two New York City designers aspiring to make it big in fashion. I’m also proud to be part of a show which has a big Latino cast.”
