This day and age it’s hard to find someone without an online personality. Everyone has a Twitter, Tumbler, Facebook, YouTube channel…or some other up and coming social media hub account in the works. And if you don’t, more power to you.
Let’s be real about it, a lot of the stuff is useless for public consumption. Even I have to stop myself from uploading a video of a younger family member doing something (anything) I think is extraordinary; I remind myself to share only with close loved ones on my list of email contacts.
But every now and again you find someone doing something clever and helpful, every now and again you come across a magic safety pin in the haystack (never underestimate what a safety pin can help you with); one of YouTube’s freshest faces, the Italian-Puertorriqueno hybrid, Robert Rivera, falls into said category. The quadruple threat acts, dances, sings and creates tutorials on how to make inexpensive beauty products at home.
Robert’s YouTube Channel, On the Cheap Tip, is brilliant, has a niche, and I suggest you jump on his bandwagon, like, right now. Not to mention, although he is endearing and adorable on his own, he has recurring characters worthy of a network television show slot.
