The first-ever bilingual issue of Rolling Stone magazine hits stands November 22nd and features 15 pages of Spanish-language articles and ads. The cover features James Bond actor Daniel Craig and has a secondary cover on the back page, also featuring singer Pitbull. “This is our first chance as a magazine to present Latin coverage in a unique way and something I think our Latino readers will really enjoy,” RollingStone.com editor Monica Herrera said. The ‘Latin Hot List’ section features the most influential Latino musicians and artists including, Calle 13, Sofia Vergara, Junot Díaz, and more. To launch the special edition, Rolling Stone teamed with Hispanic marketing communications agency Lápiz. “As an agency, we believe that marketing to emerging cultures is about connecting with deep cultural values,” said Gustavo Razzetti, executive vice president at Lápiz. “As such, brands that want to engage with Latinos need to be part of that culture. At Lápiz, we are always looking for opportunities to help amplify Latino influence on the mainstream.” Other Latino talents included in the issue are actors Alexa Vega and Andres Parra, Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Junot Diaz and illustrator Catalina Estrada.
