Former pop sensation, Ricky Martin, will appear on Oprah Winfrey’s farewell season.
During the show, he will be talking about the numerous issues that have caused him conflict over the past couple of years – mainly, his sexuality. On March 29, 2010, Martin admitted that he was homosexual. Martin – known for his smash “Livin’ La Vida Loca”- drew a lot of controversy because of his admission. Besides that, the former heartthrob became a father in 2009. Through a surrogate pregnancy he had twins, and named the boys Matteo and Valentino.
On November 2nd, his memoir entitled Me is scheduled to hit bookstores.
“Writing this book allowed me to explore the different paths and experiences that have led me to be who I am today,” says Martin. “I’ve had to tie up loose ends that I’d never attempted to tie up before, to work deeply into memories that were already erased from my mind. Allowing myself to do this was not easy, but once I started an incredible spiritual healing began….. and I wanted to share my sense of discovery.”
