Actress Rosie Perez, who co-hosts The View, pitches her hometown of Brooklyn, where Democrats would meet at the Barclays Center next year if New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s proposal is selected.
In part of the video Perez says, “Everything is here in Brooklyn. It is the neighborhood of neighborhoods,” speaking from the Valentino Pier with the Statute of Liberty in the background. “If the DNC comes to Brooklyn, you will understand why we are so loud and proud about it.”
Rosie Perez and The View have been making headlines in the last couple days, with reports that Rosie will be exciting the show after only being on for 4 months, rumors are she was fired.
.
Rumors started when it was announced that Perez would be taking off this month in January to appear in the Broadway play “Fish in the Dark,” wispers coming from some insiders that ‘it’s understood that she won’t be coming back to the Hot Topics table once she’s done.‘ It’s unclear when ABC will announce her departure, but for now “View” producers have been trying other younger co-hosts in her seat.
A rep for “View” denied that Perez would be leaving the show. “Her status with the show has not changed,” ABC said.
After Barbara Walter’s retirement from the show the rating have been declining steadily faster than expected. Talk is going around that this may be the The View’s last season.
Like the saying goes ‘where there’s smoke, there’s fire’, we’ll just have to wait and see.
