After Party with the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra at The Shrine
Nueva York Latino Romantic Comedy: Sex, Love, & Salsa will have its New York City premiere on September 12, 2013 at the 2013 Harlem International Film Festival. The independent film which was shot and edited for $7K is a romantic comedy about a Salsa dancing womanizer who dates three very different women and wonders if he’s finally found “The One” when he meets Maria, a talented fiery Salsa dancer. The mocumentary (film within a film) was directed by Adrian Manzano and shot in real Salsa clubs.
Sex, Love, & Salsa was based on someone’s personal sex life and stars a New York Latino cast with Gabrielle Ruiz from Broadway’s “In The Heights,” Sofia Rodriguez from “Platanos and Collard Greens,” and Vaneik Echeverria from “The Motherfucker with the Hat”.
Along with amazing Latino talent, the film also features music and cameos from independent Latino music artists: Los Rakas, Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra, Avenida B, Ondatropica, Gabriela Jerez, Grupo Latin Vibe, DJ Geko Jones & Uproot Andy of Que Bajo?!.
This joyride of a film has already been nominated for Best Feature at the Queens World Film Festival, played at the Chicago Latino Film Festival and is scheduled to play at 2013 International Latino Film Festivals in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, London as well as the Reel Independent Film Extravaganza.
