Ain’t this a shocker! A young girl gave birth, via C-section to a 5.7 pound baby in a Jalisco, Mexico hospital, and she’s only nine years old. How did this happen? Jalisco authorities suspect rape or abuse, since sexual age of consent in Mexico is 12. The girl’s parents know, at least, that the baby’s father is a 17 years of age, who has ran away.
There have been a handful of stories like these in the past, like a 10-year-old in Colombia having a child last year, another 9-year-old in China having a healthy baby boy in 2010, and a Romanian girl in Spain of the same age having a child.
