The Spider-Man 2 video game is facing criticism for a flag mix-up, igniting discussions about diversity within the game development team at Insomniac Games.

Miles Morales, a prominent Latino superhero, has been showcased with the Cuban flag in his home, rather than his native Puerto Rican flag. This mistake extends to the streets where the wrong flag is also displayed.
Although the Puerto Rican and Cuban flags share similarities in their designs, the key difference is the red stripes for Puerto Rico and blue for Cuba.
Insomniac Games has acknowledged the error and pledged to rectify it, without specifying a precise timeline for the update. Interestingly, players can later unlock Miles’ suit featuring the Puerto Rican flag within the game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 represents the third installment in the series, following the adventures of both Miles Morales and Peter Parker as they grapple with personal challenges while striving to be the best Spider-heroes they can be.
Their journey involves not only supporting one another but also battling iconic villains like Kraven the Hunter and Venom.
It’s worth noting that the confusion between the Cuban and Puerto Rican flags in Spider-Man 2 isn’t an isolated incident. Online fans have pointed out similar mix-ups in the comics in the past.
According to online reports, the original Miles Morales game released by Insomniac Games in 2020 made the same mistake, which was subsequently corrected through a patch.
