As diverse as America has become, it’s becoming more and more reflective in the television shows and movies we watch and award ceremonies like the Golden Globes are catching on.
Nominations for the 2017 ceremony have been released and we figured we’d share some of the notable noms with you:

- Gael Garcia Bernal – Mozart in the Jungle – Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy
- Mozart in the Jungle is also nominated for Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy
- Neruda – Best Foreign Film
- Zootopia – Best Animated Film
- Kerry Washington – Confirmation – Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
- Denzel Washington – Fences – Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama
