A producer of the Latin music group Aventura pled not guilty Tuesday to drug charges.
Franklin Romero was in Manhattan Federal Court after being arrested last week in Panama.
He’s accused of conspiring with eight others to distribute over 100 kilos of cocaine.
A warrant was issued for Romero in 2000, but he fled to the Dominican Republic and hid there for 10 years.
He was arrested last week during a flight layover at Newark Airport.
Aventura was formed in the Bronx, and has played around the world.
Romero is due back in court Thursday for a bail hearing.
