The shocking news came from Spain of all places. Monkey Black, Dominican urban singer, was beat to death outside Barcelona, Spain. A city where he lived for the past four years. According to reports from the Spanish Police, he was stabbed several times by at least two men in a bar fight. The 27 year old, birth name, Leonardo Michael Flores Cruz, started his career in 2006.
According to witnesses, Monkey Black, was stabbed at the bar entrance, and walked 20 meters before falling. The site has been inundated with flowers from fans and friends. The late rapper’s companions spoke out online. Vakero wrote on Twitter “I feel so bad..I dont want to believe that you’re no longer with us.” In addition, rapper, La Materialista also posted on Twitter, “Today, the urban movement is in mourning over your departure., Monkey Black.”
