Fans of the hit musical show and of the princess of pop are jumping for joy at the latest news that Ms. Spears will be appearing in the highly anticipated Britney-themed “Glee.” Show creator, Ryan Murphy, told Ryan Seacrest that Britney will “100 percent going to be on the episode.” It’s unknown which songs will be part of the episode that is scheduled to air on September 28.
According to the creators, the episode “is so reverential about her and so kind, and it’s about her music and not about her personal life.” It’s only apt that Britney herself should grace our TV sets in the episode that will pay omage to her. it’s unclear whether or not she will actually perform any of her songs, but were expecting great things, especially after her hilarious guest stint on “How I Met Your Mother” last year.
As for the songs you should expect to hear, “Glee’s” Harry Shum Jr.
told Access Hollywood that “Toxic,” “Hit Me Baby, One More Time,”
“Oops, I Did It Again” and possibly “I’m A Slave 4 U” will be used in the episode. Fans can also expect tributes to her music video looks.
It sounds like it’ll be a fun hour of TV and hopefully it will tide over those anxiously awaiting new music from her. “Circus” is so last year.
