Congratulations To J.R. Martinez. He is Now A Father!
J.R. Martinez 28-year-old Iraq war vet and “Dancing With the Stars” champ has a earned a new title of being a father. Yesterday him and his girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl name Lauryn Anabelle Martinez. She weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. and is 21 inches long. J.R says she already got a nickname – Belle, she has a couple of cute little freckles on her cheeks, a full head of hair and the cutest little lips.” Martinez was so excited he couldn’t help but talk about his newborn. He says “It’s just amazing to see her, finally. She’s beautiful.” The Iraq war vet met the mother of his child Gonzalez-Jones when he was casted for a role in the soap opera titled “All My Children.” He told People magazine back in december when the couple were expecting that “God has a tremendous sense of humor that he wants to continue to surround me with women.” Ever since he joined Dancing With the Stars he has opened him self up to America. As the show progressed, it drew up to 18 million viewers a week, giving the audience a first hand look at the war vet and his infectious positive attitude. Martinez was severely burned over more than 40 percent of his body in his unfortunate attack in Iraq. He was driving a Humvee and struck a land mind. He went through numerous surgeries over years of recovery, but that didn’t stop him from taking the trophy. When J.R performs you would think his injuries happened to someone else.
