
Calling all cosmetology and beauty industry professionals in Washington Heights, Inwood, Harlem and the Bronx!
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital’s Ambulatory Care Network will present a free health fair for cosmetology and beauty care industry professionals. Those attending will learn about health issues, including exposure to chemical products used for hair and skin, injury from repetitive movements and continuous standing as well as the importance of sterilization and disinfection of instruments. The health fair will also offer free blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and BMI screenings. Health awareness event providing education, workshops and health screening activities to promote personal health and safety issues, as well as professional development.
The event will be held at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Morgan Stanley Children’s Center at 3959 Broadway (at 165th St.) on Monday, July 18th, from 5 to 9pm. • Preventing repetitive motion injury
• Stress management and depression
• Importance of sterilization and disinfection of instruments
