In celebration of National Coffee Day, Saturday, September 29, McDonald’s New York Tri-State restaurants will say “Thank You” to customers by giving away FREE small Premium Roast McCafé Coffee on Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29, at participating McDonald’s New York Tri-State restaurants.
“McDonald’s is pleased to offer our loyal New York Tri-State customers the opportunity to enjoy our Premium Roast McCafé Coffee for free in observance of what has become a national holiday for coffee lovers,” said Tony Scari, president of the McDonald’s New York Tri-State Area Owner/Operators Association. “McDonald’s restaurants are predicated on a commitment to providing superior value and convenience to our customers every day. Giving away our delicious Premium Roast McCafé Coffee is just another way to thank our customers for their ongoing loyalty.”
To share the news with its Hispanic consumers, on September 28 McDonald’s street teams will distribute “Have One on Us” palm cards in the Washington Height neighborhood in Manhattan. Passer-bys will also be able to participate in “Guess How Many Beans” to estimate the number of beans contained in a giant fabricated coffee cup stationed outside the McDonald’s restaurant located on 4040 Broadway at 170th Street. The lucky coffee lover who guesses the closest number, without going over, will win a $500 cash prize.
“Simply put, we’re a big part of our neighborhoods—that’s where we’re from. Naturally, we want to help care for them, and this is the perfect opportunity for McDonald’s to say thank you and become further ingrained with Hispanic neighborhoods that love their café,” added Jessica Meléndez, McDonald’s Regional Marketing Manager for the New York Metro Region.
