President of Venezuela Labeled The Commander of Twitter with Over 3 Million Follwers
As of Monday, The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez has over 3 million followers on his official twitter account. This gives him the number 1 spot as the most popular Latin American Leader on the social network. It is said that he was receiving many tweets the morning of, reading “#3millionesyvenciendo,” which means “#3millionOvercoming.” Ever since making his twitter account he in 2010, a lot of venezuelans followed in his foot steps to create their own account so that they would b able to communicate with their leader and express their needs. Chavez passed over 2 million followers last year as of August 31. Communications Minister Andres Izarra, said that these numbers are in important even though is just the social world but it also shows the importance he has in the real world with so many people following. In the twitter world, They call Chavez “the commander of twitter.” But along with the more followers he gets its predicted that he will also gain more voters. He is able to get more people under his wing due to the social media website. The public can get closer to him and kind of see what kind of person he is. Judging by the numbers I can say that he is a very big political figure and interesting person.
