Jennifer Lopez is not one to be shy about her body but opts to embrace it, so it isn’t all too surprising in her latest Instagram photo she tossed many back a prior green outfit that made her, and her curvy body, infamous.
On her instagram—@jlo—Lopez took part on the platform’s Throwback Thursday—or TBT for short—trend which users posts old photos of themselves. Lopez’s contribution was of an outtake photo of herself taken during her US Weekly photoshoot for the June issue.
The 45-year-old Latina superstar, and mother of twins, was the cover model of the issue’s “Best Bodies” edition, and decided to post a photo of herself wearing a green swimsuit with a plunging neckline which the following caption:
“#TBT to US magazine…#outtake”
The green swimsuit prompted some to comment and connect the image to a look Lopez had first garnered attention for her body back in 2000. During the 42nd Grammy Awards, Lopez stole the show’s spotlight when she wore the infamous Versace Green Dress which left little to no imagination concerning what was underneath.
While willing to flaunt her body, Lopez confirms her confidence in herself and her legendary body within the US weekly issue when she discusses how she feels comfortable about growing older and being the mother of twins.
“You hit a stride where your spirit, body, and mind all come together,” she said, adding that she finds herself more attractive now than before, “I see pictures of myself in my 20s and go, ‘Oh! I look better now! I embrace who I am. I feel sexy, I feel youthful, I feel pretty sometimes!”
As well as she should be.
