Jose Calderon was only a member of the Golden Sate Warriors for two whole hours, but the organization still printed his jersey and paid him for his time spent with the team with a $500,000 check!
Calderon was traded from the Chicago Bulls mid season to the Los Angeles Lakers, who waived him earlier in the week. The Warriors then claimed the Spanish point guard off the waiver wire.
Kevin Durant suffered a sprained MCL expected to sideline him for at least four weeks, Golden State had to fill its gaping hole at the forward spot. The Warriors, in turn, cut Calderon to create roster space in order to sign Matt Barnes.
Calderon spent ONLY two hours with the Warriors, but got a half-million dollars and some championship-caliber gear along the way, that has to be the fastest and most money any athletic has ever made (outside Floyd Mayweather) in two hours.
