Kat Von D, the 34-year-old tattoo artist, reality show star and entrepreneur is 100% against Donald Trump’s refugee ban and his idea to take American tax dollars to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border — because after all, those darn bad hombres, you know?
Born Katherine von Drachenberg in Montemorelos, Mexico, the beauty entrepreneur shared a childhood photo via a Facebook post, where she described crossing the Mexican border into the United States with her parents and siblings.
“My parents were both born in Argentina, and my brother, sister and I were born in Montemorelos, Mexico, where my Dad was working as a missionary doctor building hospitals and treating people in pueblos that had no access to medical aid,” “This childhood photo of me was taken before my family immigrated to the US from Mexico. Funny to think I didn’t even know one word of English then. And it would be another 10 years before I would finally become a US citizen.” Von D wrote.
Von D also said that building a wall would hurt this country on so many levels, citing “the ridiculous/obvious financial damage it would do to our country is insignificant when compared to the underlying message it sends that one race is below another.”
She also made a point to say that if you’re a follower or fan who is “pro-Muslim-ban or pro-wall, do me a favor and UNFOLLOW ME right now.”
