Mun2 the Latino channel known for bringing such shows as I Love Jenni and Larrymania has begun a search for bilingual-speaking on-air video-jockeys, or VJs, for their music shows and other entertainment specials.
“We’re giving people a chance to introduce themselves to us and earn an on-air spot on Mun2 – one of the fastest growing cable networks in the U.S.,” said Diana Mogollon, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Mun2. “This is their chance to pursue their Hollywood dream and be on the most influential, groundbreaking Hispanic entertainment cable network in the U.S.”
According to an ad posted to the channel’s parent company NBC Universal the network is looking for “confident, dynamic and experienced professionals who are passionate about communicating to the U.S. Latino and reflect our Mun2 values: young, authentic and Latino.”
In lieu of the channel’s venture into reality programming with shows like I Love Jenni featuring now deceased music singer Jenni Rivera and Larrymania featuring corridos singer Larry Hernandez the network’s music programming has fallen to the wayside.
The network is currently looking to change its programming by adding more music programming in addition to the music videos and artist interviews currently spotlighted on shows like Reventón and Mun2 ¡pop!
The network will be holding a series of auditions in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.
However, for a chance to audition and become a possible VJ you can send a video reel to: http://www.nbcunicareers.com/ by August 2.
