Bursting onto the international rock scene, Lyle & Los Rayos Solares release their debut album Demencia Temporal across all digital platforms to an eager audience on February 2012. Los Rayos’ founder Lyle O. Reitzel spent more than a year working in the studio alongside bandmate Juan Solares and numerous respected musicians such as Juan Francisco Ordoñez producing the album. Scott Hull, the guru of contemporary music mastered the album in his New York City studio. The final product, Demencia Temporal, which was released with an exclusive physical distribution in November 2011, delivers a jolt of sound that effortlessly mixes classic rock melodies with alternative undertones creating an album that is above all, fresh.
“The album is a product of a catharsis or temporary insanity that involved more than 400 days of work in the studio. It’s a product of solid rock n’ roll with an original sound that unconsciously plays with classic rock influences,” said Los Rayos’ front man Lyle O. Reitzel.
“I was really excited with the high quality audio. The mixes, the instruments and all recording elements of a very promising album. [It] is total fun and the guitar is awesome. Worth every penny. I’m definitely a fan!” said Fernando Muñoz, one of the first buyers on iTunes.
Yet, what truly sets Lyle & Los Rayos Solares apart is their ability to transcend sound and bring their artistic vision to life through art. The very cover of the album is a recognized work of art from Brooklyn based artist Gerard Ellis. The video for the album’s first single A Nivel De Mueca, which has already been viewed thousands of times on YouTube, takes viewers on a psychedelic journey through animated artwork that leads into an alternate universe. The single, which immediately took off on iTunes, is currently being promoted across the globe.
With performances at the Hard Rock Café in the Dominican Republic, appearances on renowned television shows, and reviews on prestigious international media such as MTV Tr3s, Lyle & Los Rayos Solares are quickly becoming the hottest rock en Español act of 2012.
