Geoffrey Royce Rojas best known as Prince Royce has signed an exclusive, worldwide co-publishing deal with Peermusic. The bachata star is currently signed to Sony for the Latin market and to RCA in the English market.
“Peermusic is a perfect fit for Prince Royce. A family run independent with strong roots in the Latin community and offices globally, including a great studio in Miami where Royce can make music close to home,” stated Royce’s manager David Sonenberg.
Sonenberg also manages artists like Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Will.i.am and John Legend. Royce is the first Latin artist Sonenberg has signed and plans to make him a crossover star with an English album release in 2014.
Royce’s current single “Darte Un Beso,” which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart this month was published by Peermusic as well as the songs on his upcoming new album set to release in October.
Peer will also administer the songs from Royce’s sophomore album, “Phase II.” As part of a recent settlement with Royce his original label, Top Stop will retain the copyright to the songs on Royce’s first album.
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter has won 16 Latin Billboard Awards, including the “Composer of the Year” award, received 12 Premios Juventud, 13 Premios Lo Nuestro and 3 Latin Grammy nominations.
