American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest is launching a new singing competition show and it will be on Spanish language network Telemundo! “This is big…estoy muy emocionado,” Seacrest tweeted Sunday.
“Duelo Musical: Super Estrella” (“Superstar Showdown”) will be a showdown between two different music stars each week who face off in four rounds of music-based games and sing-offs for the audiences’ vote. “Latin America has always produced incredible musicians who have influenced global pop culture. Because of this, RSP has been focused on developing programming to reach the Hispanic audience for some time,” Seacrest shared with The Hollywood Reporter. Seacrest has already sold 13 2-hour episodes to the network. As of now there is no premiere date and no superstar talent announced yet.
