Salsa singer Frankie Negron, NY1 Noticias’ anchor Carleth Keys and reporter Jonathan Inoa will join Time Warner Cable during this year’s National Puerto Rican Day Parade, being held Sunday, June 10, beginning at 11 AM. Time Warner Cable is a proud sponsor of this year’s parade, which will travel up Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street.
Spectators along the parade route will be treated to a special performance by Negron, who will perform live from the Time Warner Cable float. Best known for music that combines the salsa influences of his Puerto Rican heritage and the rock and roll roots of his home state New Jersey, Negron has earned numerous Grammy Award nominations, Billboard Award nods and two Premio Lo Nuestro Awards for Song of the Year.
NY1 Noticias’ anchor Carleth Keys and reporter Jonathan Inoa will lead the Time Warner Cable float in the company’s branded car. Keys has an extensive career as a newscaster and print journalist, covering Pope Benedict the XVI’s New York City visit and the 2008 presidential primaries and presidential debates. Inoa began his career at NY1 Noticias as a news assistant, later joining the news team as a reporter and has covered breaking news stories such as the Time Square bomb scare and the US Airways Flight 1549 landing on the Hudson River.
“Time Warner Cable has been a proud participant in the National Puerto Rican Day Parade for the past seven years,” said Alessandra Otero-Reiss, Vice President of Multicultural Marketing – East for Time Warner Cable. “We’re excited to be a part of the grand celebration of rich Puerto Rican culture with the millions of viewers and parade-goers. We thank Frankie Negron and our colleagues at NY1 Noticias for celebrating this great day with us.”
