Selena Gomez’s dog, Bailey, took his owner’s lyrics to heart and “lost control” on Friday after ingesting rocks. The pooch, only 3 months old, instantly fell ill. Gomez’s tweets expressed anxiety about surgery she believed her puppy would need. Fortunately, Bailey passed the rocks and no longer needs to go through with the medical procedure.
The doggy drama coincides with the release of Gomez’s video for “Hit the Lights”. The music clip shows the singer and friends relaxing and playing around in a cornfield followed by a night at a rave. The song delivers the idea that life should be fun and caution should be thrown to the wind, which Gomez seemed to have done when it came to caring for her pup. Perhaps Justin Bieber’s recent paternity lawsuit has the starlet feeling distracted.
The adoption agency from whence the starlet adopted Bailey will now be checking up on the pooch every month in response to the incident. Fans have expressed a speedy recovery for the canine.
